How long does ICL take to heal?
As the recovery time for ICL is short, patients can resume their normal activities within 1 to 2 days after surgery. There is little fluctuation or stabilisation time as there is only a small 3mm incision at the side of the cornea, which does not affect the field of vision.

Because ICL surgery is intraocular surgery, we ask you not to do any vigorous exercise for the first week after surgery. Usually after a week, the eye’s healed nicely and you’re welcome to carry on with your normal sporting activities after a week.

Generally speaking, you should wait at least 24 hours after LASIK before washing your face. This is the same guideline that we give our patients for showering. As with showering, you need to avoid getting soap and water in your eyes for a minimum of several days.
